Educational Development

Calendar King & Queen Revue

TAC’s Calendar King and Queen Revue Scholarship Fundraiser promotes academic excellence to provide scholarships to students within our local communities.

Backpack Refill Initiative

For our Backpack Refill Initiative, TAC donated 53 backpacks with supplies to area schools: Aberdeen School District, Verona Elementary School, and Shannon Elementary School to equip students with the tools to thrive academically and to build community partnerships to provide a brighter future for students.

    Economic Development

How Are We Protecting Our Elders from Financial Abuse

TAC’s Economic Development committee hosted “How Are We Protecting Our Elders from Financial Abuse”. This event was highly informative and provided valuable insights for all ages. If you missed it, you missed a valuable opportunity. This event was exceptionally well-presented.

      International Awareness and Involvement

Brims and Bow Ties: Mingling for Mental Health

👒 TAC’s Brims and Bowties: Mingling for Mental Health was amazing! TAC gathered along with the community to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, share insights, and advocate for meaningful change. Dr. Shelton shared insight on removing the stigma in black communities and also provided tips for selfcare.

In addition, we had a special presentation on international involvement by our very own Delta Academy and Delta GEMS that showcased highlights from a Penpal activity where they partnered with our Southern Regional Representative.

TAC Rocks Our Red for the Cause

It's World AIDS Day and TAC Rocks our Red for the cause! Thank you to the students and staff of ICC Health Science building of Tupelo for allowing TAC to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS!

        Physical and Mental Health

Pink Goes Red for Women’s Heart Health

It was an honor to team up with our sisters in pink to raise awareness for heart health. We didn’t worry about which sorority either belonged to but focused on heart health and ways to live a healthier life! We sweated, danced, and laugh! We definitely got our hearts pumped up during MixxedFit with Teri Price! This event was pretty devastatingly fun!

100 Women in Red: Protecting our Heart of Hearts

We had a great time Protecting Our Heart of Hearts❤️ at the 100 Women in Red Health and Wellness Fair.  We also had a heart pumping time as we worked out 🏋️with a MixxedFit instructor. Oh, let's not forget, the self-defense class with Larry Pinson of Gracie Jiu-jitsu of Saltillo!

        Dancing With A Purpose

Thanks to everyone that supported TAC with Dancing with a Purpose! We appreciate you all!, and it was so much fun and a success!

Special shout out to our sister Sonya DL for helping us burn a few calories with the fitness factor of line dancing while having fun! Also, shout out to our guest speakers, Shirlette Judon and

Kathy Buchanan Thompson for speaking on Breast Cancer Awareness as Breast Cancer Survivors!

            Political Awareness and Involvement

            Selma 60

Thank you Selma, Alabama for your hospitality and allowing us to walk in the footsteps of some of the GREATEST leaders known to date! On yesterday, TAC and Holly Springs Alumnae Chapter marched alongside our fellow D9 family and others as we answered the call to repeat history on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday and Passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was an experience to remember. To feel the vibration of impactful footsteps, to hear the songs of negro spirituals, and to see the history marked by our respectful leaders encouraged us to continue to keep the dream alive and to always make “Good Trouble”.

Fortitude on the Frontline: “Turn Up” to Vote

It was Live at 5 as TAC “↖️Turned Up The Votes↗️” at the 1st Annual Shannon, MS Music Festival! The sisters of TAC assisted with registering new voters and locating voting precincts. This was a fun and festive event: food, fellowship, and future! 🗳️

TAC is hitting the streets and making a difference! With 'Every Block, Every Vote' as our mission, we're registering voters and empowering our neighborhoods one step at a time. Together, we are ensuring that every voice is heard. We’re turning action into impact! #TACIsOnTheMove

            Arts and Letters

TAC members along with their family and friends came out in droves for the #TheColorPurple with our Red carpet show stopping event in our finest shades of purple! Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. along with TAC are so proud to support this phenomenal film that adds a bold new take on this beloved classic!

              TAC’s Emergency Response Team

TAC’s ERT was proud to: increase the importance of red envelopes, increasing awareness of what to do in the event of preparing for natural disasters, and utilizing emergency response kits. Great job ERT! Always stay REDy 💪🏽⛑️
